Met Obs is an easy to use application which enables the correct preparation and transmission of METARs and TAFs. To assist the operator, the last transmitted weather is automatically brought to screen to enable quick and easy updates. Full on-line help and ‘pick lists’ of allowable codes further simplifies operations and the system guards against the input of improbable trends such as extreme changes in temperature and pressure.

To increase automation and accuracy of the observation, the module may be interfaced with airfield sensors to received "actuals" on such as QNH, Temp/Dewpoint etc.

Users may request weather for up to 6 stations from either Brussels or Vienna without having to ask ATC or ATS to transmit the message
